7. Manali to Leh Highway, NH3, India

The Manali–Leh Highway crosses four major passes above 4,700 meters in less than 430 kilometers, reaching its highest point at Tanglang La at 5,328 meters. The route now begins through the 9.02-kilometer Atal Tunnel before climbing into increasingly remote high-altitude terrain, including the dramatic 21-hairpin Gata Loops and passes such as Nakee La and Lachulung La. Farther north, the road crosses the vast More Plains at elevations above 4,500 meters before reaching Tanglang La, making this less a route of tight corners than an extraordinary high-altitude riding experience.
